How can we help?...

Ian Stoney

IPS SafetyTraining was founded in 2012 by Ian Stoney. With more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale operations in leisure, retail, hospitality, and construction industries, Ian attended and organised countless first aid and health & safety courses for teams and specialists.

He identified that the quality of traditional training providers differed dramatically. There was a gap in the market for a high-quality, affordable, reliable training provider. There was also a need for a training provider with an up-to-date approach to course delivery.

From two centres, in St Albans, Hertfordshire and Bournemouth, Dorset the company now operates with a team of specialist instructors. Each instructor undergoes rigid and comprehensive quality assurance each year. This ensures the very highest standard of training delivered with up-to-date and relevant knowledge. Instructors are qualified with the Award in Education and Training Level 3 (AET) and are often ex-emergency service or industry specialists with first-hand experience of dealing with emergency situations and safety management.

Safety training is important. It's a serious topic but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. Our instructors are selected based upon their ability to make courses engaging for any type of learner; building confidence and knowledge that lasts beyond the training itself.

IPS Safety Training courses are independently certified, quality-assured, and nationally recognised. Each course title meets HSE guidelines, OFSTED, and Continued Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.
